Used red-andgreen ikat and chevron fabric to make a holiday table runner edged with kiwi-colored piping on the edges and finished with matching purchased tassels. Because the ikat is heavier fabric than the chevron, I backed the chevron with medium-weight fusible interfacing. I plan to make more table runners for upcoming holidays. Because the width was 15 inches (just over one-third of the table width), I made a second runner and shared it with a friend.
