Curling iron / flat iron travel case

Here’s a cute little project I found at Sew 4 Home. It’s a travel case for your hot curling or flat iron, with a little pocket to tuck your cord in.

I did my own type of closure, mostly because I used cotton duck fabric and it didn’t make very nice narrow ties. So I used bead cord elastic and a button, plus another button used decoratively to cover where I sewed on the elastic.

I also opted to sew the back side of my bias tape border by hand instead of machine for a nicer finish.
