gift-certificate

It’s time for our monthly giveaway! Enter to win a $50 gift certificate to Warehouse Fabrics Inc.!

CONTEST CLOSED. Winner: ROSE

———————————————————————————————

Note: you must put each entry in its own comment in order to get the separate entry points. The drawing is automated.

Note 2: The first two entries are easy for anyone to answer. The third is just an extra entry. If you don’t have a Facebook account (or an account for whatever we are doing that month), then you still get two options to enter. Part of what makes the Internet great is the ability to share and pass on. That’s why we have a social media option each time.

1. 1 entry – Share a favorite product from our website and suggest a use for it.

2. 1 entry – Tell us what you’d like to see a sewing-related tutorial about.

3. 3 entries – Follow us on Pinterest (click here) and provide a link to your user name in the comments (will be verified) — you must leave three separate comments for this one so that they all count as separate entries.

Good luck, everyone! Contest ends Monday, January 27, 2014, at 10 a.m. MDT. Each entry can only be completed once by each entrant. Winner has 48 hours to respond to email notification or new winner will be drawn. Winner’s first and last name and city/state will be provided by winner for use on our site.

  1. your curtain tie backs would be great to put one on your cutting table by where you sit. hang a plastic bag from the store on it and just drop scraps in it as you go. keeps your work area clean and you dont have to pick them up out of the floor. babscorbitt@gmail.ocm

  2. i would like to see more tutorials on cutting fabric at angles for diamond, triangle, etc quilt pieces. babscorbitt@gmail,com

  3. I like the Gotcha Summerland Yellow / Natural fabric. It would make really pretty curtains in my bedroom.

  4. I like Circles Black / White
    (Code: CISBLK)
to make the apron you already created a tutorial for! My sewing class will be sewing several of these for sale to benefit non-profit organizations helping victims of slave trafficking. If we can get $50 worth of free material {hint, hint}, we’ll have all the more to send to hurting children.:)

  5. I love the Gingham Fabric in Berry. I’d make retro kitchen curtains, with eyelet trim and a matching tablecloth.

  6. As far as content, I would love to see any type of fabric related home decor projects, sewing, upholstering especially, but even decopage, etc…..

  7. I was already following your boards on Pinterest, my ID: http://www.pinterest.com/tumbleweed714
also,I misunderstood task #1, I thought we were to share our favorite product here in the comments section of this post, lol… I have now completed that task as well, only I shared a different favorite fabric (than my original comment) on facebook!! This Savvy Pewter, by Premier Prints… I LOVE the gorgeous neutral colors, and attention grabbing pattern on this fabric. this is what I would probably buy, if I win this fabulous contest! I need this fabric in my life!

  8. Hello! Thanks for the suggestions. We do have some already. If you go to the blog and look for the box “search the blog” and type zippers, you’ll see them. If you have a zipper request that’s not covered, please let me know! (The blog search box is lower down — don’t use the “store” search box up higher or it won’t work)

  9. I did do a diaper stacker on the blog years ago, but it was from a pattern. Good idea to do one from scratch! At the time I was overwhelmed with all my nursery sewing and didn’t have time to figure it all out from scratch. On my to-do list!

  10. Hi Camille — Please search on our blog for “zippers” — on the BLOG search, not the store search. (It’s a little ways down on the right.) There are a few zipper tutorials there. Is there a certain zipper installation type you’re seeking?

  11. Yes I love the tips and techniques listed! But am personally struggling with matching different fabrics with the right needles, (takes me at least 2 switch outs lol) And love seeing other peoples projects they are very inspiring!

  12. I have been seeing so many beautiful fabrics in shades of grays. For the right room I would love to see Java, Pewter used for long panels. Beautiful fabric.

  13. Getting top and bottom fabric to feed together. Learning how taught to hold or pull fabrics while sewing a seam.

  14. Current favorite product: I love this sunny Groveland fabric and I’d use it to stitch up some kitchen curtains!

  15. I’m a curtain fanatic, so I’d like to see a tutorial on creating the perfect drapery pleats.
